Year 1
January 2020 - August 2020
First steps into 3D artistry. I re-learned the process of creating digital content on Photoshop as well as the basic pipeline to modelling in Maya. I self-taught myself the same process on Blender as well. Took a class to code in Python
Year 2
September 2020 - August 2021
Delved into Game Ethics. Learned the process of 3D texturing with the different texture maps, using software like Photoshop, Substance Painter and ShaderMapTexture. I also learned the basic pipeline process of creating levels on Unreal Engine 4, from making a 3D model to creating a scene in Unreal. Did a beginner class in Java. Made 2 simple student games over summer, one on Unreal 4 and another as a mod on TableTop Simulator
Year 3
September 2021 - August 2022
Took a course in Adobe Illustrator. Got my first experience in making a character and hard-surface textures in ZBrush. Made a simple tabletop card game as an exercise in game design. Took Computer Science classes on Java and C#
Year 4
September 2022 - May 2023
Learned Procedural art and VFX production using Houdini, as well as integrating it into Unreal. Learned how to properly rig characters and animate them in Maya for a Machinima class. Delved into scriptwriting, cinematography, lighting and editing in Premier Pro to make said machinima. Began working on a full-scale student game as a 3D artist and animator with a team as part of a Capstone class.
